OP, you might try looking for a newbie-friendly guild in the Guru Guild Recruit subforum, or maybe try the PUG subforum.

Wow it's great to see such activity on this forum, I'm sure I will enjoy my time here and on the game
Don't want to confuse people though, I have played the game before, but not much and only on Nightfall. Meaning I basically have no clue what I'm doing in the trial atm, apart from casting skills and killing stuff and (probably) adding all my stat points to the wrong things. I really appreciate the quick comments and help everyone is offering, I'll be sure to leave my character name once I have my full copy in EDIT: Have my copy in, I decided to roll a warrior called Re Route.
